Does using AI mean my client data is being used to train models?

Not necessarily — it depends on the tool and how it's configured. Consumer-grade tools often train on your inputs; business tiers and API setups typically don't. We document every tool's data policy in writing before any of your data flows anywhere. If a vendor won't put "we do not train on your data" in the contract, we don't use them.

Will connecting AI to my business software expose my data?

Only if it's built sloppily. We scope every integration field by field, default to read-only until a workflow proves itself, and your data stays in your systems — the AI queries what it needs through credentials you control and can revoke.

Will AI actually save my business money?

It depends on which workflow you automate first. We start by mapping your actual workflows, find the high-volume repetitive work, and put numbers on it before anything gets built. If the math doesn't work for a workflow, we'll tell you not to automate it.

Who's responsible if the AI makes a mistake?

You are — which is why every system we build has human checkpoints designed in, not bolted on. The AI drafts, a human approves anything customer-facing or money-related. Our boundary document spells out what the AI can do alone, what needs approval, and what it can never touch.

What should a small business automate first with AI?

The repetitive task your team dreads — high volume, low judgment, measurable. For most trades and service businesses that's quote follow-ups, appointment reminders, or turning job notes into clean summaries. Start with one, measure it, then pick the next.

Do I own the systems BIS builds for me?

Completely. Everything is built in your accounts, under your control, documented for the next person. Every project phase lands as a standalone deliverable — you can stop after any phase and keep it all. Our retainers are for ongoing build-and-care you choose, not ransom.
